Hungarians originate from the steppes of Central Asia. The ancestors, the magyars, were connected to the Huns and were feared due to the refined horse riding strategies. They were deadly archers but they were forced to settle down where currently Hungary is at the end of the 9th century.

You cannot just name your child the way you would like to in Hungary. If the name is not included in the collection of the officially approved names’ list, you have to request the approval first in order to name them.
